Lahari Ridge: 6 Homes on 1.5 acres of an 8-acre parcel Potlatch Drive in Deer Harbor

Lahari Ridge homeLahari Ridge is OPAL’s first neighborhood in the village of Deer Harbor. It was initiated by a generous offer from Lahari Hospice and Respite Care, which sold lots to OPAL at below market rates.  (“Lahari” means “atomsphere of bliss” in the Hindi language.)

The small, cabin-like homes with studio, one-bedroom or two-bedroom floor plans are 840 sq. ft. The project was recognized for its Green Building attributes by the Housing Assistance / Home Depot Green Building Fund. Initial mortgages ranged from $125,000 to $140,000, and initial monthly payments from $500 to $900.

[This home] is a blessing beyond my wildest imagination.  It means I don’t have to wonder if my landlord will decide to sell…. if a realtor will walk through with a prospective purchaser.   I am able to set my sewing machine up on my dining room table and not put it away until I’m done–if I want to. I get to decide.” —Patty Johnson, Lahari Ridge homeowner

The homeowners of each OPAL neighborhood adopt their own neighborhood rules. Here are the Conditions, Covenants and Restrictions for Lahari Ridge
