Bonnie Brae: 24 homes on 4 acres of a 12-acre parcel Bonnie Brae Lane, off Enchanted Forest Road in Eastsound

Bonnie Brae House with Dog

In 1999 OPAL completed our second neighborhood—24 homes clustered on four acres of a 12-acre parcel. The Bonnie Brae site plan minimizes impact on the land, preserves landmark trees, protects the surrounding forest, and supports both privacy and community. Trees were removed by horse logging in order to save much of the existing vegetation. Homes range in size from 945 to 1,328 sq. ft. Mortgages range from $95,000 to $130,000. Monthly payments range from $375 to $800.

One of the best things about owning our home is the diversity of the Bonnie Brae neighborhood—single women, young couples like us with children, some older residents; it’s neat. And it’s a challenging learning process, too, communicating with people whose styles are different. —Sarah Coffelt, office manager, mother, and Bonnie Brae homeowner
