A number of “green” elements were incorporated in the Reddick project. Rainwater runoff from the metal roofs is captured for flushing toilets. Marmoleum, a linseed-oil-based product, was used for flooring instead of more-toxic vinyl. Cabinets are mostly plywood instead of particleboard, which is made with formaldehyde. |
